Job Summary
Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while accurately positioning patients and minimizing radiation exposure. Explain procedures to patients, remove articles that interfere with x-rays, and monitor them throughout the examination. Maintain equipment and quarters, process x-ray films, and make reports as needed. Collaborate with radiologists to interpret images and provide necessary information for diagnosis. Work in a busy office environment with occasional evening and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- any state-specific licensure
- Proficiency in operating complex imaging equipment
