Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging examinations ensuring quality images, ensuring accurate patient positioning per provider requests, and implementing radiation safety guidelines. Navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system and perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures. Work in clinic, hospital, ED, and OR settings under radiologists with precision for accurate diagnoses. Advance into CT, MRI, and Mammo modalities. Requires ARRT registration, BLS certification, and state-specific permits.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) if working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures
- ARRT certification obtained within 60 days of hire if working in South Dakota
- Permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health if working in the state of Iowa
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification within the first eight weeks of hire if working at some clinic locations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary
- Driver's license if dependent upon department
- Acceptance of a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications

- Ability to perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA procedures)
