Job Summary
Perform various radiology procedures accurately and efficiently, initiating proper interventions for immediate attention when exams indicate it. Provide clinically diagnostic images as directed by physicians, reviewing indications and reporting inappropriate ones to the supervisor. Submit exam data in a complete format for radiologist interpretation, archive images for permanent storage, and manage PACS, RIS, HIS, and EMR systems. Assist with training staff and students, while maintaining department policies, infection control, and compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and ACR standards. Work as needed with visual acuity and communication skills to uphold Avera's mission of compassion and stewardship.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or a certificate of completion from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT Certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 Days
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to work the hours specified
