Job Summary
Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body portions as ordered by physicians. Position and instruct patients prior to examinations, adjusting equipment settings for proper voltage, current, and exposure time. Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, explain procedures to patients, and answer questions. Prepare examination rooms and equipment, position patients for imaging, and monitor patients to ensure safety during exams. Produce diagnostic images, document exam information, and report important findings to physicians. Verify exams on PACS and perform other assigned job-related duties. Requires an Associate's Degree in radiologic technology (preferred) and an ARRT-R license.
Required Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography ARRT-R license
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging OBMI Radiologic Technologist License
- Basic Life Support BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
