Job Summary
Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body portions as ordered by physicians. Position and instruct patients prior to examinations, adjusting equipment to determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time. Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, explain procedures to patients, and answer questions. Prepare examination rooms and equipment, position patients for imaging, and monitor patients to ensure safety. Produce diagnostic images, document exam information, report important findings to physicians, and verify exams on PACS. Requires an Associate's Degree in radiologic technology (preferred), ARRT-R license, Oregon Board of Medical Imaging license, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT-R) license
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment
- All required vaccinations
- Access to and understanding of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
