Job Summary
Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body portions as ordered by physicians. Position and instruct patients prior to examinations, adjust equipment settings, and determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time. Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, explain procedures to patients, and answer questions. Prepare examination rooms and equipment, position patients for imaging, and monitor patients to ensure safety during exams. Produce diagnostic images, document exam information, and report important findings to the physician. Verify exams on PACS and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) license and Oregon Board of Medical Imaging license.
Required Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists â€" Radiography (ARRT-R)
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgment of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology
