Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging exams on patients using specialized equipment while ensuring proper identification, order verification, and patient preparation. Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, adhering to radiation safety guidelines and department protocols. Assist and instruct students on exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment operation. Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns while maintaining infection control and sterile techniques. Operate equipment and information systems to generate quality images, keep accurate records of procedures and adverse reactions, and follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, and equipment failure reporting. Work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with shifts starting as early as 7:30 and running as late as 5:30. This is a PRN position working 2-3 days a week at Saint George Regional Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- Radiologic technologist license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist/Limited Scope Operator in state of practice
- ARRT Board Registry Eligible per state requirements
- Competency in at least one of the following areas: Chest, Extremities, Spine, Skull, Podiatry, Bone Densitometry (DEXA)

- Previous experience as a radiology technologist
- Clinic based and/or spine experience
