Perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures requiring independent judgment. Analyze results to identify and resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results while reviewing patient history and physician orders. Educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications while monitoring patient status. Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, and perform quality control procedures. Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions as necessary. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, criminal background checks, and company safety standards. Requires ARRT certification within six months.
