Job Summary
Operates x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images and assists physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. Prepares patients, ensures patient age-appropriate care, and may perform duties such as calling patients to schedule appointments from lists for gaps in care and diabetic eye exams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Associates degree preferred
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program or a certified/accredited/JCERT hospital-based program
- Credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Registry eligible technologist must successfully complete the ARRT certification exam in radiology within 90 days of hire
- Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology
- ARRT certification/registration required or registry-eligible
