Job Summary
Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures while documenting patient history on physician requisitions. Confirm patient identification through verbal confirmation and validate proof of identity before each exam. Prepare and administer contrast media as required, consulting with radiologists and other physicians as necessary. Select and operate equipment based on individual procedure demands, demonstrating correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills. Maintain appropriate records in accordance with departmental standards. This role supports the Neurosurgery & Spine Clinic at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, where candidates must be ARRT registry eligible within one year of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
- Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date
- BLS required
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development
- Demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served
