Job Summary
Conduct patient intake, administer oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications, and perform venipuncture and laboratory testing under physician supervision. Perform X-ray diagnostic imaging, transmit images for over-reads, and maintain equipment while adhering to safety standards. Manage patient flow, serve as patient escorts, and support discharge processes with frequent communication. Clean stocks, sterilize equipment, and prepare patient rooms. Document care appropriately in the electronic health record and participate in quality improvement teams.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Completion of an approved R.T. program
- Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting
- 1-2 years 2 years of medical office experience
- ARRT ARRT Certification
- Maryland Virginia or DC State License-Certified Medical Radiation
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Clinical competency as verified during the initial 90 day orientation period and annually thereafter
- Computer & Electronic Medical Record skills and ability to function in a variable clinical setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
