Job Summary
Perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with department policies, including patient intake, venipuncture, laboratory testing, and administering oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications under provider orders. Execute x-ray diagnostic imaging, transmit images for over-reads, maintain equipment, and conduct spirometry, vitals, EKGs, and vision/hearing tests. Manage patient flow, serve as patient escorts, and conduct follow-up calls for clinical results while documenting appropriately in the electronic health record. Clean and sterilize equipment, prepare patient rooms, and support multi-disciplinary quality improvement teams. Requires an Associate's degree, ARRT certification, and Maryland/Virginia/DC license; offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Completion of an approved R.T. program
- Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting
- ARRT ARRT Certification
- Maryland Virginia or DC State License-Certified Medical Radiation
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Clinical competency as verified during the initial 90 day orientation period and annually thereafter
- Computer & Electronic Medical Record skills and ability to function in a variable clinical setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years 2 years of medical office experience preferred
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education
