Job Summary
Perform x-ray diagnostic imaging, evaluate technical quality, and transmit images to appropriate destinations. Transport patients to radiographic rooms, prepare equipment, and sterilize supplies while maintaining orderliness. Conduct patient triage, venipuncture, spirometry, EKGs, and other multifunctional tests under physician supervision. Administer oral medications and injections as permitted, manage patient flow, and provide telephone triage services. Document care in medical records, monitor equipment functionality, and report system issues promptly. This role supports optimal patient flow and participates in multi-disciplinary quality improvement teams. Candidates must hold ARRT certification and a Maryland radiology license, with a preference for CMA or RMA credentials.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved R.T. Program
- Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting
- 1-2 years 2+ years of medical office experience
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- American Board of Radiology - ABR Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days

- Completion of an approved M.A. program

- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)-American Medical Technologists
