Job Summary
Conduct patient intakes, perform venipuncture, and administer oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal medications under physician supervision. Perform diagnostic X-rays, transmit images for over-reads, and maintain equipment while adhering to safety standards. Manage patient flow, deliver vitals, spirometry, and EKGs, and follow up on lab results and clinical outcomes. Clean stocks, sterilize equipment, and prepare patient rooms. Serve as patient escorts through discharge and support multi-disciplinary quality improvement teams. Requires ARRT certification, state license, and CPR; salary $29.73-$53.49/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Completion of an approved R.T. program
- Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting
- 1-2 years 2 years of medical office experience
- ARRT ARRT Certification
- Maryland Virginia or DC State License-Certified Medical Radiation
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Clinical competency as verified during the initial 90 day orientation period and annually thereafter
- Excellent customer service/ patient interaction skills
- Computer & Electronic Medical Record skills and ability to function in a variable clinical setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years 2 years of medical office experience preferred
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education
