Job Summary
Perform x-ray diagnostic imaging in accordance with medical orders, evaluating technical quality and transmitting images for interpretation. Transport patients to radiographic rooms, prepare equipment, and maintain sterile conditions while managing patient flow and providing telephone triage. Administer oral medications and injections under physician supervision, perform venipuncture, spirometry, EKGs, and other multifunctional clinical tests. Document care in medical records, monitor equipment functionality, and report system issues or unsafe conditions immediately. Support patient discharge, follow-up calls, and laboratory test coordination to ensure optimal care pathways.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved R.T. Program
- Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting
- 1-2 years 2+ years of medical office experience
- ARRT ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- American Board of Radiology - ABR Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Completion of an approved M.A. program
