Job Summary
Perform x-ray diagnostic imaging in accordance with medical provider orders, evaluating technical quality and transmitting images for interpretation. Conduct patient triage, venipuncture, laboratory testing, spirometry, EKGs, and vitals under physician supervision. Transport patients to radiographic rooms, prepare equipment, and manage patient flow while providing telephone triage and follow-up calls. Maintain orderliness of work areas, sterilize equipment, and report system problems. Administer oral medications and injections as directed, complete annual reporting for protective devices, and serve as a mentor to clinical staff. Manage variable patient volume and support multi-disciplinary quality improvement teams.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved R.T. Program
- Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting
- 1-2 years 2+ years of medical office experience
- ARRT ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- American Board of Radiology - ABR Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
