Job Summary
Radiology Technologist in an Urgent Care setting performing X-ray imaging under physician supervision. Handles patient intake, venipuncture, spirometry/PFTs, EKGs, vitals, and patient follow-up; administers oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications after demonstrated competency; documents in EMR and supports patient flow. Maintains equipment and safety standards, promotes professional patient care, and collaborates with radiologists for image overreads. Roles emphasize adherence to safety, infection control, CPR/OSHA training, and use of electronic health records.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- Completion of an approved R.T. program
- Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting
- 2 years of medical office experience preferred
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Certification
- Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
