Job Summary
Perform patient intake, administer oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications, and conduct venipuncture and laboratory testing. Execute x-ray diagnostic imaging, transmit images for over-reads, and maintain equipment while adhering to safety standards. Manage patient flow, deliver follow-up calls for clinical results, and serve as a patient escort through discharge. Clean stocks, sterilize equipment, and prepare patient rooms. Support multi-disciplinary quality teams and participate in safety, infection control, and EMR training. Work under physician supervision in a MedStar Health setting with a limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Completion of an approved R.T. program
- Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting
- 1-2 years 2 years of medical office experience
- ARRT ARRT Certification
- Maryland Virginia or DC State License-Certified Medical Radiation
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Clinical competency
- Excellent customer service/ patient interaction skills
- Computer & Electronic Medical Record skills and ability to function in a variable clinical setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
