Job Summary
Perform x-ray diagnostic imaging in accordance with medical provider orders, evaluating images for technical quality and transmitting them for interpretation. Transport patients to radiographic rooms, prepare equipment, and sterilize supplies while maintaining orderliness and reporting safety concerns. Conduct multifunctional patient care including venipuncture, spirometry, vitals, EKGs, and administering oral medications and injections under physician supervision. Manage patient flow, provide telephone triage, and perform patient follow-up calls to ensure optimal care delivery. Adhere to department policies, governmental regulations, and accreditation standards while maintaining individual credentials and participating in quality improvement teams.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved R.T. Program
- Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting
- 1-2 years 2+ years of medical office experience
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- American Board of Radiology - ABR Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days

- Completion of an approved M.A. program
- Experience working with electronic medical records
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)-American Medical Technologists
