Job Summary
Perform radiographic examinations and acquire ordered images, evaluating them for technical quality before transmitting to appropriate destinations. Obtain patient history, answer questions, and explain procedures while transporting patients to the radiographic room. Administer oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications when ordered by a provider after demonstrating competency. Maintain orderliness of work areas, report unsafe conditions, and perform preventative maintenance on X-ray and other equipment. Prepare written documentation including evaluation results and treatment plans, and manage supply requests. This role supports optimal patient flow within MedStar Health settings across multiple Maryland locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
