Job Summary
Acquire ordered images, evaluate technical quality, and transmit them for interpretation. Perform radiographic examinations, obtain patient histories, and explain procedures while transporting patients to the radiographic room. Administer oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications when ordered by a provider after demonstrating competency. Maintain orderliness of work areas, report unsafe conditions, and perform preventative maintenance on X-ray equipment. Prepare written documentation including evaluation results and treatment plans. Request and order supplies. This role supports optimal patient flow at MedStar Health locations throughout Maryland.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
