Job Summary
Lead daily operations of interventional imaging services by ensuring quality imaging, patient care, and workflow efficiency. Monitor patient documentation for accuracy, oversee quality control testing and equipment maintenance, and troubleshoot technical issues. Serve as a resource to department staff, performing orientation, training, and coaching while providing input for performance evaluations. Accurately position patients and select imaging parameters, ensuring prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas, while working in a constant state of alertness. Comply with all regulatory agency standards and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Radiology program
- ARRT-R certification
- 2 years of experience in Radiology
- Completion of a Radiology Technology program
- Two years' experience
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
- Radiologic Technologists – Temporary Accreditation - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
- Radiographer, Licensed - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services

- Monitors patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy
- Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting
- Serves as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed
- Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching
- Provides input to staff performance evaluations
- Helps position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately
- Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards
- Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS
- Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more)
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication
- Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
- Frequent lifting/moving of patients
- Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs
- Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
- Rare kneeling and sitting
