Job Summary
Lead Radiology Technologist responsible for performing imaging procedures and treatments per radiology standards to aid diagnosis/treatment. Manages daily operations to ensure high-quality exams, safe patient care, and customer satisfaction. Possesses radiologic knowledge and applies appropriate technique and positioning for optimal results. Develops and implements procedure/treatment plans, adheres to hospital protocols, completes required documentation, maintains equipment and work areas, and participates in department-wide Performance Improvement activities. Requires ARRT(R) radiography certification and BLS within 30 days, state licensure as required, and proficient computer skills. Must have at least 6 months acute care experience and demonstrate leadership in coordinating workload and ensuring safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Required: 6 months experience in an acute care setting or comparable specialty area as required to meet all Lead competencies at the end of orientation period.
- Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(R) with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
- LICENSURE: STATE LICENSE AS REQUIRED; BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE; ARRT(R)
- Minimum Required: Basic computer literacy
