Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging exams on patients using specialized equipment while ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation. Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, adhering to radiation safety guidelines and department protocols to complete studies within acceptable time limits. Assist and instruct students and other Radiology Technologists in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment operation. Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and maintain infection control standards while operating information systems to document procedures and track adverse reactions. Schedule includes 40 weekly hours with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Requires ARRT certification, state license, and BLS. Located at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- Radiologic technologist license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions
