Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging exams on patients using specialized equipment while ensuring proper identification, order verification, and patient preparation. Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, adhering to radiation safety guidelines and department protocols to complete studies within acceptable time limits. Assist and instruct students and other technologists in exam protocols, procedures, and positioning, while providing patient education and maintaining infection control standards. Maintain accurate records of procedures and adverse reactions, and operate equipment and information systems to ensure high-quality imaging results.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- Radiologic technologist license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions
- Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years radiology experience
- IV Certification
