Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging exams on patients using specialized equipment while ensuring proper identification, order verification, and patient preparation. Review images for quality and accuracy, adhere to radiation safety guidelines, and complete studies within acceptable time limits. Assist students and colleagues in protocols, instruct on positioning, and provide patient education to ensure comfort and address concerns. Maintain accurate records, follow medical necessity and coding protocols, and report equipment failures. Operate information systems and maintain sterile techniques in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- Radiologic technologist license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions
