Job Summary
Prepare patients for imaging exams by obtaining requisitions, verifying identification, and securing informed consent. Position patients and equipment to obtain diagnostic results while ensuring comfort, modesty, and radiation safety. Assist physicians with technical factors and contrast administration protocols. Maintain work area cleanliness and perform routine clerical tasks. Adhere to all department policies and adjust techniques per physician or supervisor direction. This role supports the Endoscopy Suite within UMass Memorial Health, a premier health system in Central Massachusetts.
Required Qualifications
- RTR licensure in the Commonwealth Massachusetts, this includes a temporary (1 year) MA license
- ARRT certification in Radiology is required within 12 months from date of hire as a condition of continued employment
- BLS certification
- Maintain all area specific CEUs for ARRT, DPH according to regulation
