Job Summary
Operate x-ray equipment, prepare rooms and supplies, and provide patient services using various imaging modalities. Select proper technical factors for individual patients, perform routine diagnostic x-ray procedures, and assist physicians in examinations. Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and adherence to radiation safety standards while rotating within department areas. Complete related clerical tasks as necessary. Requires ARRT registration and New York State Radiology license.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology
- ARRT registration
- NYS DOH Radiology license
- Maintains the recommended CME by the ARRT
