Job Summary
Provide patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician, performing diagnostic radiographic services and operating diagnostic imaging equipment. Select exposure factors according to age-specific guidelines, apply radiation protection principles, and evaluate radiographs for technical quality. Administer or assist with contrast media, ensure proper documentation of exams and quality control checks, and maintain accurate patient records with confidentiality. Assume responsibility for the physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures and supervise, instruct, and communicate effectively with radiology students. Requires a graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology school, AART registration, Wisconsin licensure, and CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- AART registered
- Licensed in the State of Wisconsin
- CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
- Self-motivated
- Able to be flexible
- Ability to problem-solve
- Able to function independently
- Ability to adhere to established regulatory agencies, Beloit Health System, and department policies, rules and regulations
