Job Summary
Obtain patient clinical history and lab work, then position and immobilize patients to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest while applying radiation protection principles. Perform radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment, verify informed consent, and complete pre and post procedure documentation. Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures, including timeouts and aseptic surgical techniques when needed. Prepare and administer medications or contrast as prescribed. Monitor patient conditions during examinations, record medical histories, and communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Work 32 scheduled weekly hours across all shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Diagnostic Radiology
- BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association
- 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care
