Job Summary
Perform imaging examinations according to physician orders utilizing sophisticated equipment, taking into account individual patient needs. Utilize clinical judgment for proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient treatment to produce optimal high-quality images with minimal exposure to patient and operator. Maintain ALARA awareness throughout all procedures. This role requires an Oregon Radiographer License (or temporary license for new graduates) and National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within six months. Full-time day shift employment at Providence Portland Medical Center offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
- Oregon Radiographer License upon hire
- Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire
- National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- OBMI temporary license
- Permanent license within 6 months of hire
