Radiology Technologist Float Pool

Job Summary

Float across multiple Front Range facilities including Good Samaritan, Lutheran Medical Center, Platte Valley, and Saint Joseph Hospitals, adapting to varying staffing needs and self-scheduling PRN shifts on a first-come basis. Commit to a minimum of four shifts per 8-week period, including at least one hard-to-fill shift such as weekends, holidays, or nights, while maintaining competencies across assigned sites. Perform radiologic duties including patient transfer, equipment manipulation, and documentation, with potential to complete the Medical Assistant Competency Checklist for clinic or InstaCare settings. Receive a 10% pay premium plus shift differentials, with an entry rate of $29.14 increasing to $44.94 based on experience. Requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and BLS.

Required Qualifications

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) certification
  • Radiologic technologist license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform the function of an MA in a clinic or InstaCare setting
  • Flexibility to work across multiple Front Range facilities
  • Adaptability to varying staffing needs
  • Commitment to a minimum of four shifts within each 8‐week period
  • Willingness to work hard‐to‐fill shifts (such as weekends, holidays, nights, or on‐call)
  • Ability to maintain competencies across assigned sites
  • Ability to work at a minimum of two different facilities per period
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Ability to perform frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
  • Ability to transfer patients
  • Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Ability to handle items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
  • Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
  • Ability to obtain and distribute supplies and equipment
  • Ability to push/pull gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items
  • Ability to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
  • Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time

Desired Qualifications

  • 1-2 years radiology experience
  • IV Certification
