Job Summary
Obtain high-quality radiographic images independently while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and compliance with regulatory standards. Perform procedures adhering to ALARA guidelines and Image Gently/Image Wisely programs, inserting IV catheters for contrast injections when needed. Prepare patients, verify orders using two identifiers, and explain procedures to ensure understanding. Clean equipment per infection control protocols, organize supplies, and scan documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation. Identify and mitigate image artifacts, communicate effectively with physicians and staff, and maintain reliable attendance. Requires ARRT certification, BCLS within 30 days, and 0-1 years of clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of clinical experience as a radiologic technologist
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
