Job Summary
Operates X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body and conducts quality control checks. Documents and analyzes patient data; positions patients; labels images with date and patient ID; transfers images and archives discs as needed. Ensures proper image marking (right/left) and legibility. Applies standard operating procedures; relieves patient anxiety by explaining procedures in layman terms. Essential functions include utilizing imaging markers, data entry from requisitions, immobilization and support device adjustments, and performing related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational or Technical school Diploma required
- Current license to practice as a Radiology Technologist in New York State, required
- Current ARRT Radiology registration, required
- 1-3 years of technical experience, required
