Job Summary
Operate C-arm fluoroscopy and portable X-ray equipment during surgical procedures for orthopedic, pain management, and spine cases. Position patients and coordinate equipment setup to obtain accurate diagnostic images per physician direction while verifying orders and confirming patient identity. Ensure radiation safety practices and ALARA principles for patients and staff; maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment. Maintain accurate imaging records, participate in quality assurance activities, and adhere to infection control and sterile field standards. Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff to ensure efficient case flow. Requires current state license, ARRT certification, and BLS certification. PRN scheduling with potential early morning start times.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current state license/registration as a Radiologic Technologist (or state-specific equivalent)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- BLS certification
- Knowledge of radiation safety standards and sterile technique
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift/move equipment and assist with patient positioning
- Manual dexterity for equipment operation in sterile environments
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in an OR, surgery center, or interventional setting
- ACLS certification
