Radiology Technologist (CT/X-Ray Technologist - PRN Nights - Grand Prairie)

Job Summary
Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment including X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS while performing CT and X-Ray procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, and perform basic clinical procedures under the direction of the physician or nurse on duty. Maintain required documentation, logs, and charts in both paper and electronic formats, and collect laboratory samples to perform testing in accordance with COLA and CLIA regulations. Conduct routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment, perform quality control and proficiency testing, and retain records of all analytic activities for a minimum of two years. Perform duties as ER Technician as needed and travel to all facility locations as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology
- Certified as a medical radiologic technologist as required by the state in which practicing
- Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- CT certification within 12 months of hire (Pennsylvania market)
- Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date
- Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience
- 1+ years of CT experience
- 1+ years of emergency room experience
- Proficiency with most X-ray/CT equipment, manufacturer's hardware/software and PACS
- Travel to all facility locations as required
- Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Radiology
- Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in computed tomography
