Job Summary
Radiology Technologist (CT/X-Ray) PRN Days at a small-format hospital in the Dallas area. Primary duties include performing CT and X-ray imaging at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, operating and maintaining imaging department equipment (X-ray, CT, CR reader, PACS), and ensuring results are reported to the physician. Responsibilities also include maintaining documentation and records, collecting laboratory samples and performing lab testing in accordance with COLA and CLIA, performing routine quality control and proficiency testing, and attending required staff meetings. May perform ER technician duties as needed and travel to all facility locations as required. Requires graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program, ARRT certification in radiography (and CT preferred), BLS, and 2+ years of radiologic/imaging experience preferred. CT certification must be obtained in specified markets if not already held.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED, required
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology, required
- Associate’s degree in Radiology, preferred
- Certified as a medical radiologic technologist as required by the state in which practicing
- Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography required
- ARRT in computed tomography, preferred, with exceptions (CT certification required in Las Vegas market)
- CT certification required within 12 months of hire (PA market)
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, required
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience, preferred
- 1+ years of CT experience, preferred
- 1+ years of emergency room experience, preferred
- Proficiency with most X-ray/CT equipment, manufacturer’s hardware/software and PACS
- Position requires fluency in English, written and oral communication
