Job Summary
Perform various radiology procedures accurately, efficiently, and according to established standards and protocols. Initiate proper intervention when an exam indicates immediate attention and review indications for ordered exams, reporting inappropriate ones to the supervisor. Provide exam data in a complete format for radiologist interpretation and manage computer systems including PACS, RIS, HIS, and EMR. Archive image data for permanent storage, retrieve stored images, and create CDs as required. Maintain department policies, procedures, quality assessment, safety, and infection control standards while assisting with record analysis and maintenance. Mentor staff and students during on-the-job training and clinical rotations. Work Friday through Sunday from 6 PM to 6 AM as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to moving health forward.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or a certificate of completion from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT Certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 Days
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to work the hours specified
- Ability to perform each essential job function satisfactorily
