Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures including plain films, fluoroscopy, portables, and OR exams while ensuring patient safety and radiation compliance. Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice. Manage clinical education by explaining procedures to patients, overseeing student orientation, maintaining evaluations, and resolving conflicts between technologists and students. Liaise with hospital and school faculty, participate on the Advisory Board, and ensure all images are submitted correctly to PACS. Maintain a clean department and monitor equipment functionality. Report absences and time card discrepancies to the school.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Radiology program
- ARRT-R with 2 years of experience in radiology
- Associate's degree
- Two years' experience
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
- Radiologic Technologists – Temporary Accreditation - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
- Radiographer, Licensed - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
