Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures including plain films, fluoro, portables, and OR exams while explaining procedures to patients and ensuring radiation safety. Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice. Manage clinical education by assessing, planning, and evaluating student training across all modalities, overseeing conflict resolution between technologists and students, and maintaining student evaluations and certifications. Submit high-quality images to PACS with accurate labeling and data. Ensure equipment functionality, maintain a clean department, and participate on the school's Advisory Board. Monitor time cards and communicate absences to the school. Requires ARRT-R certification, two years of radiology experience, and BLS. Full-time 36-hour day shift with available night and weekend differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Radiology program
- ARRT-R with 2 years of experience in radiology
- Associate's degree
- Two years' experience
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
