Job Summary

Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation to produce high-quality images for physician interpretation. Exercise independent judgment in selecting equipment, positioning techniques, and exposure factors while assessing patient conditions to respond appropriately in emergency situations. Deliver age-appropriate care across the Operating Room, Emergency Department, inpatient units, outpatient services, portable imaging, and Electrophysiology Lab. Ensure accurate patient identification, documentation, and adherence to radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nurses to provide exceptional patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Current New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association only accepted
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, radiation safety, and imaging techniques
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
