Job Summary
Produces radiographs of various anatomical parts and systems for diagnostic purposes under radiologist direction. Responsibilities include collecting patient data, verifying orders and patient consent, explaining procedures to patients, preparing patients and imaging parameters, positioning and shielding, administering contrast agents when applicable, monitoring for adverse reactions, obtaining and transmitting images to PACS for radiologist interpretation, documenting patient care, coordinating with Central Scheduling, nursing units, and ER as needed, and performing routine equipment maintenance and daily QC. Requires completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by ARRT, current ARRT registry, and BLS, plus PA Act 33/34/73 renewals; work involves rotating shifts and potential local travel between system locations.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a (JRCERT) accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by the ARRT
- Current registry with the ARRT
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved by the American Heart Association (CPR and AED)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 with renewal
