Job Summary
The Radiology Technologist assists physicians with diagnostic imaging tasks, performing x-rays and maintaining imaging equipment while ensuring patient care. Duties include explaining procedures to patients, preparing them for radiologic activities, and managing administrative tasks such as maintaining procedure logs. Clinical support involves patient examination, obtaining vital signs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Applicants must have an associate degree, relevant certifications, and strong communication skills. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent
- Completion of an approved RT program
- ARRT Certification
- Maryland, Virginia and/or DC State Licensure
- CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
