Job Summary
Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment including X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS while performing CT and X-Rays at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to physicians, nurses, and administrative staff throughout the facility. Perform all imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, ensuring the physician on duty is notified of results. Maintain documentation, logs, and records in paper and electronic formats while collecting laboratory samples and performing testing per COLA and CLIA regulations. Conduct routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks for all imaging equipment, perform Quality Control and Proficiency Testing, and document activities for supervisor review. Work night shifts (7pm-7am) in a 16-bed small-format hospital with PRN status.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology
- Certified as a medical radiologic technologist as required by the state in which practicing
- Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience
- 1+ years of CT experience
- 1+ years of emergency room experience
- Proficiency with most X-ray/CT equipment, manufacturer's hardware/software and PACS
- Position requires fluency in English, written and oral communication
- Night/Weekend shift differentials
- Travel to all facility locations as required
- Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Radiology
- Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in computed tomography
- CT certification (Las Vegas Market)
- CT certification within 12 months of hire (Pennsylvania market)
