Job Summary
Accountable for the proficient operation of radiographic and CT equipment to produce diagnostically useful images. Performs radiology procedures accurately and efficiently per established standards and protocols, initiates escalation to radiologist or referring practitioner for exams needing immediate attention, reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate ones to supervisory staff. Provides exam data in complete/accurate format for interpretation, utilizes PACS/RIS/HIS/EMR systems, and archives images for permanent storage while ensuring proper distribution to radiologist groups. Retrieves stored images from PACS or disc backups and creates CDs as needed. Maintains awareness of medical, legal, and confidentiality responsibilities related to imaging reports, supports department policies and safety/infection control, and assists/mentors staff and students during training and orientation. Participates in data collection/records maintenance per department management, quality improvement, Joint Commission, MDH, ACR standards, OSHA guidelines, or other applicable requirements. Requires Associate’s degree or equivalent, and ARRT certification within 60 days; strong teamwork, communication, and adherence to CARE values. Potential sign-on bonus available. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate of completion from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) within 60 days of hire
