Job Summary
Radiology Technologist handles general diagnostic radiographic procedures across the body, performs venipuncture and basic lab tests, and ensures CLIA-compliant lab processes. Uses EPIC and PACS for patient registration, imaging, and image retrieval; validates patient information and exam requests; manages inventory and safety; trains/mentors staff and students; and ensures proper documentation and reporting of results to physicians. Requires ARRT certification and an associate’s degree in radiologic technology (Iowa permit to practice radiography and ARRT registration also required), plus BLS and mandatory reporter training. The role is PRN/part-time at MercyCare North Liberty, IA, and involves in-person clinical duties in a hospital/clinic setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology preferred
- Iowa Permit to Practice Radiography required
- ARRT registration required
- Basic Life Support certification required
- Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse/Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training
