Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging exams on patients using specialized equipment while ensuring proper identification, order verification, and patient preparation. Execute studies per department protocol, review images for quality and accuracy, and adhere to radiation safety guidelines. Assist and instruct students and other technologists in exam protocols, procedures, and positioning. Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and maintain infection control standards. Operate equipment and information systems to generate quality images, keep accurate patient records, and follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, and equipment reporting.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- Radiologic technologist license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist
- ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions
- Anatomy knowledge

- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years radiology experience
- IV Certification
