Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic imaging by performing plain films, fluoroscopy, portables, and OR exams, including Bone Density procedures where a registry is required. Transport patients to clinical areas, verify identities, and position patients for procedures while explaining steps and providing educational materials. Administer contrast media and medications within scope, monitor protocols, and ensure high-quality image submission to PACS with correct markers and data. Maintain equipment functionality, follow radiation safety guidelines to prevent unnecessary exposure, and keep the department clean and orderly. Perform limited CT procedures in emergent situations when a CT Technologist is unavailable. Maintain constant alertness and safe manner during all duties.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Radiology Technology program
