Job Summary
Prepare and position patients for imaging, selecting exposure factors with precision. Perform X-rays and EKGs, administer contrast media, and observe patients during procedures while reporting abnormalities. Follow radiation safety protocols, ensure timely image submission to PACS, and monitor equipment functionality. Maintain accurate documentation, keep the department clean, and release images to licensed radiologists for interpretation. Work Fridays to Sundays in 8 or 12-hour shifts at an Indiana-based, physician-owned practice serving multiple hospitals and imaging facilities. Requires ARRT certification, Indiana X-ray license, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification
- Valid Indiana X-ray state license
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- CPR certification is required
- Strong technical skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility in hours to meet client needs is essential
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred
