Job Summary
Educate and prepare patients for examinations by positioning them to demonstrate desired anatomy. Provide excellent patient care and effective communication while performing diagnostic radiographs for review by healthcare providers. Document patient medical histories accurately and determine appropriate technical parameters to demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the process. Requires a High School Diploma, Limited Certification in Radiology, and certifications as a Medical Assistant. Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications are required. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Limited Certification in Radiology
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Prior Radiologic experience
- Limited Practice Radiographer - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National Healthcareer Association
- Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants
- National Certified Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing
- Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologist
- Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 Days
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology program
- Prior Medical office or Hospital based service
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association
- Excellent overall customer service skills
